About
Hi, I'm Rebeccah.
I am a disabled author who has a passion for writing romance with chronically ill main characters because everyone deserves to be loved.
I've read romance stories ever since I can remember, starting with historical romance – Katherine by Anya Seaton – and have since developed an insatiable appetite for contemporary romance. Now find me writing strong female leads and swoony leading men like Karen Swan or Ali Hazelwood.
However, it has been hard to find many books that represent the realities of living with a chronic illness and disability. This is why I am writing own voice love stories, so myself, and others similar to me, can dream just like everyone else. I want my stories to allow other people, to hope and believe, even if they are stuck in their beds.
My debut novel focuses on my childhood dream of becoming an actress and asking what if someone was trying to do this alongside having a body that failed her? Not to mention mixing in a Hollywood heartthrob and a charismatic co-star. Drama, a touch of sadness, strength, vulnerability and all different kinds of love all come together to create Look At Me Now.
The Debut Novel
Look At Me Now
A spicy contemporary romance · 88,000 words
After she collapses onstage, chronically ill actress Laura's path to success is a perilous balance between managing her health and a demanding career. When she meets Hollywood heartthrob Nate, sparking an unexpected whirlwind romance, she must decide whether she's willing to jeopardise her career for love.
Actress Laura Rose has spent years learning to hide her chronic illness. Now she's auditioning for her dream role in a major British film where there's no room for weakness. She's no stranger to performing through pain. That's been her whole life. But an encounter with Hollywood's leading man, Nate, threatens to derail her career as she can't balance auditioning and her symptoms with the demands of an intense relationship. Her potential drop-dead gorgeous co-star Ben can't take his eyes off her, whilst things become tricky with Nate. Laura conceals her health condition from Nate, who wants her in LA whilst refusing to make their relationship public. Health, ambition, heart… will her struggle to balance them tear her apart, or make her whole?
"I love how you're so passionate about your dreams. I love how you blurt things out before thinking. I love how you care about the small things in my day. I love that you accept me for me… I love the way you look at me like I'm the only man in the world. I love how you're quietly strong."

From the Book
In Laura's words.
"I know there are things Nate isn't telling me, but how can I expect him to be fully open with me, trust me, if I can't be the same with him. I can't lose him. I do care about him, more than anything. Eventually my thoughts stop being trapped in a vortex and I know I have to face him or I'll lose him."
